LightCraft.
Local photo management and non-destructive RAW development.
A new take on the workflow.
LightCraft documents a usable, limited workflow for local photo culling and JPEG/DNG or supported-camera RAW development. Official desktop installers and source are available. It remains an early build with significant compatibility and production-workflow gaps; the listed capabilities are maker-documented rather than independently runtime-tested.
What you can switch today.
Replace a limited part of the incumbent workflow: local photo culling and JPEG/DNG or supported-camera RAW development.
- Download an official release for your platform and start with a copy of a small representative project.
- Complete the documented core edit/create workflow and save to the native project format.
- Export or reopen the result and compare its content, layout or timing before moving further work.
Where it falls short.
Camera colour calibration is still estimated for several cameras; unsupported CR3 variants and compressed Olympus RAW may use embedded JPEG previews. Check your camera-specific decoder, colour and export before moving photos. Not established as a professional Lightroom library migration. Capabilities are source-documented, not independently app-tested.

What it can stand in for.
Camera-specific RAW decoding, non-destructive edits and the portability of catalogue metadata determine whether a migration works.
