LightCraft
Local photo management and non-destructive RAW development.
Adobe Lightroom serves people working on photo cataloguing and RAW development. These independent projects explore parts of that workflow with documented AI assistance. They are candidates to evaluate, not guaranteed drop-in replacements.

Switchable workflow: Replace a limited part of the incumbent workflow: local photo culling and JPEG/DNG or supported-camera RAW development. Source
Camera colour calibration is still estimated for several cameras; unsupported CR3 variants and compressed Olympus RAW may use embedded JPEG previews. Check your camera-specific decoder, colour and export before moving photos. Not established as a professional Lightroom library migration. Capabilities are source-documented, not independently app-tested. Project source

Early-stage editor. No Intel Mac build; Windows installers are unsigned. Nikon High Efficiency RAW requires a source build, and learned denoising does not support X-Trans. On Windows select the display ICC profile manually for accurate colour. Lightroom slider appearance and imported edits may differ. Features and migration are documented, not independently runtime-tested. Project source

Match your actual workflow against the documented scope and limitations above. Camera-specific RAW decoding, non-destructive edits and the portability of catalogue metadata determine whether a migration works. None of these listings is a promise of feature parity.
Each app links to attributable evidence of AI-assisted development. A verified contribution badge means a public commit credits an AI coauthor; a maker claim means the owner states AI was used. Neither establishes that every line was AI-generated or reviewed.
LightCraft, Greycard are documented as free to use. Check the license linked for each project. Running infrastructure can still incur costs. Open source alone is not evidence of AI authorship.
For Adobe Lightroom, focus on raw support, library management, catalogue migration. Keep originals, try disposable copies and inspect round-trip exports. Missing comparison facts are unknown.
