Honfoglaló Revival.
Play the classic Hungarian territory quiz with friends or computer players.
A new take on the workflow.
This project restores the older Hungarian Honfoglaló quiz game using the original archived Flash client in Ruffle and adds a Go multiplayer server. It documents private rooms, public lobbies and computer opponents. The original implementation commit credits Claude; that attribution applies to the revival and new multiplayer layer, not the original game.
What you can switch today.
Replace a casual Honfoglaló quiz session with classic Hungarian territory battles against friends or computer players.
- Open the hosted game and choose a classic map and match rule.
- Start with computer opponents or create a room and share its invitation link with friends.
- Play a complete sample match before adopting it for regular group sessions.
Where it falls short.
Restores an older Flash-era edition through Ruffle rather than the current Honfoglaló service. MIT covers new project code, not the original SWF, questions, sounds and artwork; those retain their owners’ rights. Account progression and migration from the official service are not established. Source-documented gameplay has not been independently runtime-tested.

What it can stand in for.
Check the language, question set, match rules and ability to join a room with friends. Classic revivals may not support the current service’s accounts or progression.
