FigCraft.
Interface design and prototyping with local documents.
A new take on the workflow.
FigCraft documents a usable, limited workflow for making local interface layouts and exporting visual design assets. Official desktop installers and source are available. It remains an early build with significant compatibility and production-workflow gaps; the listed capabilities are maker-documented rather than independently runtime-tested.
What you can switch today.
Replace a limited part of the incumbent workflow: making local interface layouts and exporting visual design assets.
- Download an official release for your platform and start with a copy of a small representative project.
- Complete the documented core edit/create workflow and save to the native project format.
- Export or reopen the result and compare its content, layout or timing before moving further work.
Where it falls short.
Alpha. Native .fig import is best effort, multiplayer is only a preview, and accounts/teams/cloud workflow are absent. Use fresh local designs; existing Figma teams and shared-library workflows do not directly transfer. Capabilities are source-documented, not independently app-tested.

What it can stand in for.
Local interface editing does not replace multiplayer, component libraries or design handoff. Check .fig imports and team workflows explicitly.
