Doory.
A browser design editor for social graphics, posters and multi-page layouts.
A new take on the workflow.
Doory documents the same core graphics workflow as Canva: start from a template or blank page, edit text, shapes and images, arrange layers, then export the result. It supports guest designs stored in the browser and a self-hosted server for accounts and collaboration. Its original code-bearing commit explicitly credits Claude as coauthor.
What you can switch today.
Replace Canva for creating and editing social graphics, posters and simple multi-page designs, then exporting finished files.
- Open the hosted editor or run the documented Docker setup and seed starter templates and fonts.
- Start a template or blank design, add your original text/images and save the design.
- Check a representative PNG, SVG or PDF export before rebuilding further Canva work.
Where it falls short.
Native Canva design import is not established; recreate layouts using original assets and check exports. A fresh self-hosted installation needs starter templates, fonts and content seeded separately. Keep the license/NOTICE and required visible maker credit. Actual editor behavior has not been independently runtime-tested.

What it can stand in for.
Test the formats you actually deliver, text and image placement, reusable templates and a save/reopen cycle. A downloadable image is not a promise that existing Canva projects, brand assets or team workflows migrate.
